This is a photo of beautiful Howe Sound, taken on the shores of Britannia Beach as it looks today. This is the setting for the novel OLIVIA'S MINE.

You can see what is left of the actual mine at Britannia Beach in this photo. The BC Museum of Mining is located on the site and is worth a visit on a lazy summer afternoon.

Plans are currently underway to rejuvenate the historic site.

Fast forward two years since the "before" picture was taken. The mine has had a new facelift.
